Unless you live under a rock you know all about Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and his attempt to sell Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder. Well, Illinois furniture company Leather Creations launched a newspaper ad campaign that plays off the scandal… and it’s freaking hilarious.
If I didn’t live some 2,000 miles from Chicago and hadn’t just bought a new sofa a few months ago, I’d be half-tempted to buy from them just because of the ad. Guess it’s true that good ads have a way of making you forget about this whole recession thing.

We sell more seats than the Governor!
…and our Senate seat only costs $1,999!
(plus this sofa lasts much longer than 6 years)
P.S. Leather Creations, if you’re reading this, shoot me an email; I have a few ideas on how you can spruce up your website

I have a pressed glass dish about 12″ diameter that says “Compliments of the Illinois Furniture Company 3609-11 So Halstead Street
304-306-308 W, North Ave.
Easy Payments”
Are you all the same company? This would probably have been from early to mid 1900′s.
Thank you

ps Love your ad!
