The WallStreet Journal has released their list of the best and worst ads of 2008, so head on over to the WSJ and vote for the winner [and the loser.] Here’s the short-list…

The Best

  • “Yes We Can” political music video produced by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.
  • Burger King’s “Whopper Freakout”
  • E*Trade’s talking baby
  • Pepsi’s Gatorade commercial (online only)
  • Apple’s interactive Mac vs. PC banner ads

The Worst

  • Microsoft Window’s commercials with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld
  • Toyota’s zero-percent financing commercial paired with the 1983 Fixx song “Saved by Zero”
  • Sales Genie’s asian and indian Super Bowl commercial
  • AIG’s “Strength to be There” [while waiting on gov't bailout money] commercial
  • Pfizer’s fake-doctor ad
