About

The Daily Anchor

1. n. A resource blog for marketers, advertisers, and small business owners.
2. n. A device to prevent or restrict the downward motion of a marketing department or another floating entity.
3. Figurative: That which gives tools or recommendations in a downturn; that on which we place dependence for navigating elements of a small business or a career in marketing.

Our mission is to bring you a daily frequent dose of original editorial on the best ideas, trends, and insights in marketing and small business. We’re going to do our damnedest to help you market smarter, sell more, and rock through this recession.

Becoming great at anything – sports, music, business – requires perhaps 10 years of practice at 1,000 hours per year. Success isn’t about raw talent, it’s about sheer persistence and deliberate practice. Consider The Daily Anchor a professional development tool.

“A better way to stay informed about the marketingverse.”

“A new blog for marketing slaves and the marketing obsessed.”

…or something like that.

I’m proud to work along side an editorial team of some of the best young minds in marketing, sales, advertising, and small business. I hope you’ll learn as much from them as I have.

Pleased to meet you,
